Royal grass for ‘royal’ schoolyard
Royal Grass® partner Vario ‘Masters Green’ was rewarded the project to renew the schoolyard of the Bloemcampschool in Wassenaar, which is attended by the children of the Dutch royal family. Jasper Eppingbroek, owner of Vario, called it ‘the crown on their work’. “Renewing a school is always fun, but this made the project extra special.”
Vario ‘Masters in Green’ carried out the entire project, from groundwork and paving to the installation of the colorful artificial grass surfaces. For this project they cooperated with playground equipment supplier Yalp. The synthetic turf surfaces are equipped with special NEN-EN 1177: 2008 certified shock absorption, so that the children can play safely and responsibly.
Due to the challenging play equipment, the grass beneath the equipment will be used intensively. This requires a different view on artificial grass. In close cooperation with Royal Grass® it was decided to use Royal Grass® Xplay, the most durable turf of its kind.
A party was organised to celebrate the completion of the project. The school principal praised the good work: “What a cool schoolyard it has become! All those new appliances and beautiful surfaces, fantastic!”
