Artificial grass field bringing fun to schoolchildren in Belgium
Rain or shine. The children of the school ‘De Schans’ in Kontich, Belgium, are now able to play outside any time of the day due to the new artificial pitch that has been installed. Before this, they had a field consisting of grass and sand with poor playability. It was also a challenge to keep the children and their clothing clean, whether it was rainy or sunny weather.
Since the installation, the children have made optimal use of the artificial grass field. “They love to play sports on it. No burns, no fuss over dirty clothes and they can play any time of the day. What child does not like that?”, the director says enthusiastically.

Once we have more budget, we would love to have another artificial grass field. It gives so much more opportunities to be active and spend time outside.”
