Sustainable artificial grass
Depending on the quality chosen and with proper maintenance, artificial grass can be very long-lasting and sustainable. Under normal conditions, an artificial grass field can easily last 8 to 12 years.
TenCate – the largest manufacturer of fibres for the artificial turf industry in the world – supplies the fibres for Royal Grass®. Together, we guarantee top quality fibres. The fibres contain no heavy metals like lead, zinc or cadmium and comply with the strictest environmental requirements (German standard DIN 18037-7 norm). TenCate produces the fibres for artificial turf in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards.
Royal Grass® has been thoroughly tested and certified by Dutch TNO (organization for Applied Scientific Research). Extensive safety testing, for example, has also taken place. The grass does not pose any danger whatsoever to adults, children or animals and is fire retardant. When it comes in contact with fire, the sand filler extinguishes the fire immediately. Royal Grass® can be safely used in private gardens, on roof terraces, playing areas or public spaces.
Royal Grass e-qual
Royal Grass® products from the e-qual® line are fully recyclable for the production of new artificial turf fields. Royal Grass® e-qual® products are made of 100% polyolefin materials (PP and PE), without a polyurethane or latex coating in order to embed the fibres in the backing (read more of the production of artificial turf in the library). Royal Grass® e-qual® represents the perfect balance between people, the environment and operating income. Our production methods respect our planet and we pursue a socially responsible (purchasing) policy with regard to the welfare of individuals both within and outside of the organisation. Where possible, we foster collaboration with social minority groups. Our sample shop, for example, is operated in its entirety by a Sheltered Workshop. They make sure that the Royal Grass® samples are cut perfectly and packed appropriately before being shipped to our distributors.
